Quick update!
Blender 2.48a
.love
“Yo Frankie! edition” was released last week, and today or tomorrow Blender 2.48a is out due to a veeery bad bug we found the other day while playing the game with Ton here at the institute.
The release is awesome though!, lotsa new features you can read about here.
On my side, I was in charge of the Splash screen! -above (actually for 2.47 too but it was just a matter of thinking what could fit the 2.46 release, since this one was a bugfix release mostly, so I thought about the same one (bunny staring at the beautiful butterfly), but a few frames later..(the butterfly smashed by an apple
).
Well actually that’s the 2.48a splash, which is the same as 2.48 with a little “a” (yeah I cheated, took the little “a” from the 2.31a splash screen, way easier
)
Norway!
Made most of the splash while in Norway (yeah I went to Norway! Trondheim actually, BEAUTIFUL! lovely people too, will (I have to! was a very nice week) blog about that later, I promise! rolais
Blender Courses!
yeah! this week, Jason van Gumster (Fweeb) and me, together we are holding the Blender Essential course at the Blender Institute, from Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd, it’s going pretty good! the team is very quick in getting all our blender-nerds data, so we are actually going a bit further from the original schedule, which is awesome!
Blender Conference Amsterdam 2008!
My first time in the Blender Conference! wohoo! and is this friday here in Amsterdam.
Is going to be awesome!! yeah.. but also work! I’m holding two talks this time, one about Blender’s new GLSL feature, and another about our work in the Open Game Yo Frankie!. See more in the schedule.
Luckily both talks are on friday, so I can relax and just hangout with the blenderheads around saturday and sunday, bleh I know I will enjoy every minute of this event, c’mon ! is the BConf!
(B)
uff this blogpost ended up being longer than I thought..
So that’s pretty much it.. by the way going soon to Gijón, Spain! another Blender Course there, more soon!
that’s all folks, till the next blogpost! ![]()

hey NIK, sí por ahi podes hacer envios, pero comprando en el Blender e-shop ayudas directamente a la Blender Foundation (por amazon solo un pequenio porcentaje les llega realmente).
