Swim Merlin Swim! is featuring the PSD Magazine cover! (Issue 2/2008)

That magazine is published in USA and Australia, so if you are around pick up one, it have interesting articles (like the almighty Patrick Beaulieu’s amazing Fear of the Dark image details, and CHEVisodes).

On the other side, FINALLY! Swim Merlin Swim’s Making Of see the light! a few screenshots, and more videos than text! ..I tried to make it less boring possible

Ok.. the site was down for almost a week, I’m again in a new server..yes, again.. but this time it’s a well-known server that hosts sister websites like ZanQdo’s and GraphicAll.org. So I hope to be more lucky this time

I spent the past weeks in doing a sort of “Making Of Swim Merlin Swim!” for a magazine, with a few videos of the process, more images than text (at the end.. who reads it? :D) and 2 blend files about caustics and Merlin. I hope to have it online soon, when the magazine gets published.

Also did a quick video about “How to model a simple-toony-lowpoly thing”, I’m not that happy with the results.. but at least I tried it for the first time, I didn’t know how hard it would be to model something knowing you’re being recorded (I always lose a lot of time fixing/creating the model).

At the end I kinda liked the character, it remembers me to the first characters I made years ago..
